Darío Benedetto's strike against Palmeiras has been voted as the best goal of the CONMEBOL Libertadores 2018

The supporters have chosen the Boca Junior striker's goal in the semi-finals as the best of the competition.

One of the two goals Darío Benedetto scored against Palmeiras in the semi-finals of he CONMEBOL Libertadores 2018 has been chosen as the best goal of this year's competition by supporters.

It was Benedetto's second goal of the evening against the Brazilian side at La Bombonera which claimed top spot. On that evening the striker was only on the pitch for a mere 14 minutes but that was enough time for him to give Boca a 2-0 goal lead heading into the second leg.

Benedetto's goal finished ahead of Juanfer Quintero and Lucas Pratto's strikes for River Plate in the final. The other goal which made the final four choices was scored by César Carrillo for Millonarios in their group stage clash with Corinthians. The poll on social media had more than 100,000 votes registered.

Each one of the final four had previously won other polls voted on by the public. The stunner from Benedetto received more than half of the votes.
