Fierce rivals since the beginning, there was always one thing missing in the rivalry between Porto Alegre's two biggest clubs Grêmio and Internacional: a meeting on South America's biggest stage. That meeting finally came to fruition in the 2020 Libertadores. A new documentary produced by the CONMEBOL Libertadores team tells the story of the 424th all-time meeting between the two sides, but the first ever in a Libertadores match.
The film tells the story of the two rivals up until, and including their first Libertadores meeting, which ended with a combined 8 red cards shown to the two sides. Using exclusive footage and interviews with players and fans from both sides, the project literally takes fans inside the rivalry to places they've never been before.
The film can be viewed on the CONMEBOL Libertadores' official Facebook and YouTube pages. Links to watch can be found below.
