La Bombonera was bouncing to the rhythm of the CONMEBOL Libertadores on Thursday. With the final of the Libertadores just 48 hours away at the time of the open training session, Boca fans made sure there wasn't an empty seat to be found. Their support cannot be called into question.
It was a normal working day in Buenos Aires but fans gathered outside La Bombonera since the early hours in the morning. The stadium filled so quickly that the doors actually needed to be closed an hour before the players made their way out onto the pitch.
No one knows quite how many Boca fans went to La Bombonera stadium on Thursday. 50,000, 60,000 or perhaps even more. In Boca's 113 year history they've won the CONMEBOL Libertadores six times. On Saturday, for this generation of fans, it's the biggest match in the club's history.
