All the teams which have qualified for the CONMEBOL Libertadores 2019

On Thursday 20th December the draw will take place for the biggest club competition in South America.

While the CONMEBOL Libertadores 2018 is approaching its grand final, the 2019 edition is slowly begin to take form as the best sides from South America secure their place in next season's competition.

The first stages of the CONMEBOL tournament (1,2,3 and the groups) will be drawn on the 20th December in Luque, Paraguay. This is also where they will conduct the draw for the CONMEBOL Sudamericana 2019. Here are the teams which have qualified so far:


SOUTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONS


  • Copa Libertadores 2018 Winners
  • Copa Sudamericana 2018 Winners

ARGENTINA


  • Argentina 1: Boca (Superliga Argentina 2017-18 Winners)
  • Argentina 2: Godoy Cruz (Superliga Argentina Runners up 2017-18)
  • Argentina 3: Rosario Central (Copa Argentina Winners 2017-18)
  • Argentina 4: San Lorenzo (3rd place Superliga Argentina 2017-18)
  • Argentina 5: Huracán (4th place Superliga Argentina 2017-18)
  • Argentina 6: Talleres (5th place Superliga Argentina 2017-18)

*Whoever wins the Copa Libertadores 2018 will qualify as Argentina 1. If Boca win, Argentina are awarded another place and Independiente will be included as Argentina 7.


BOLIVIA

  • Brasil 4: Internacional (3rd place Campeonato Brasileño Serie A 2018)
  • Brasil 5: Gremio (4th place Campeonato Brasileño Serie A 2018)
  • Brasil 6: Sao Paulo (5th place Campeonato Brasileño Serie A 2018)
  • Brasil 7: Atlético Mineiro (6th place Campeonato Brasileño Serie A 2018)

CHILE


  • Chile 1: Universidad Católica (Primera División de Chile 2018 Winners)
  • Chile 2: Universidad de Concepción (Primera División de Chile 2018 Runners up)
  • Chile 3: Universidad de Chile (3rd place Primera División de Chile 2018)
  • Chile 4: Palestino (Copa Chile 2018 Winners)

COLOMBIA


  • Colombia 1: Deportes Tolima (Torneo Apertura Winners)
  • Colombia 2: Campeón del Torneo 2018 Winners
  • Colombia 3: Best placed side in the Primera A 2018
  • Colombia 4: Atlético Nacional (Copa Colombia 2018 Winners)

*If a Colombian side wins the Copa Sudamericana 2018, they will take the Colombia 1 spot and everyone else will move one spot further down.
*Independiente Medellín have booked their place in the competition. It could be as Colombia 2 if they win the league. 


ECUADOR

*Liga de Quito won the first stage of Serie A and will be either Ecuador 1 or 2.


PARAGUAY

  • Paraguay 2: Cerro Porteño (Highest points total in the accumulated table)
  • Paraguay 3: Libertad (2nd Highest points total in accumulated table) 
  • Paraguay 4: Nacional (3rd Highest points total in accumulated table)

PERU


  • Perú 1: Sporting Cristal
  • Perú 2: Campeonato Descentralizado 2018 Runners up
  • Perú 3: Melgar (3rd place Campeonato Descentralizado 2018)
  • Perú 4: Real Garcilaso

*Alianza Lima and Melgar have qualified. They could be Peru 1 or 2.


URUGUAY
